Chosen
THE COVENANT
Story
A weathered PATHFOLLOWED wordmark marks the front, identifying the remnant chosen to remain upon the path.
Across the back, embroidered hands drawn from The Creation of Adam reach toward one another but remain separated. Between their fingertips rests a weathered crown of thorns, representing the Savior who closes the distance humanity could not cross alone.
With over 100,000 embroidery stitches combined with screen printing across both sides of the garment, The Covenant serves as the centerpiece of The Weight of Virtue and establishes the foundation of PathFollowed: called by God, reconciled through Christ, and chosen to continue upon the path before us.
Architecture
The two hands form opposite sides of an unfinished arch, with the crown of thorns positioned at the center as its keystone.
In architecture, the keystone is the piece that locks an arch together and allows it to carry weight. Here, that role is given to Christ, represented by the crown as the essential connection between humanity and God.
The embroidered hands rise physically from the garment, while the weathered crown remains fixed between them, completing the structure. Against the pure black fabric, the raised embroidery and white screen print stand apart with greater depth and contrast.
